Charles Spurgeon states, "Doubtless these days are exceedingly dangerous and I have certain Brethren round me who never allow me to forget it... I remember hearing some 30 years ago that we lived in awful times and, as nearly as I can recollect, the times have been awful ever since and I suppose they always will be! The watchmen of the night see everything except the coming of the morning." Keep in mind, he wrote this around 1885!
You see, man has always thought today was worse than yesterday because he focuses on the earthly. Instead, we need to hear the voice of the Good Shepperd and be encouraged that we're loved and know to Him.
