In verse 20, Peter’s mind seems to have been distracted from the command to follow the Savior by a very simple incident. "Turning about." Such a simple act could derail a disciple walking next to Jesus! I'm know I'm even worse!
I get distracted by the events of this world daily, (TV, internet, text) and so did Peter! He had just confessed his love for Jesus three times and when Jesus said, "Follow Me", Peter was immediately distracted by John! This example may have been written specifically about me because I can relate, but thankfully, God is full of grace!
