In the Genesis account, we see Joseph's life being "shaped and honed and tempered by God through the fires of life that it becomes a mighty blade of deliverance, a daunting instrument of salvation. This is what we have been seeing in Joseph - the sharpening of a life to such an edge that he became a singular instrument of redemption. It began when Joseph, as a callow, insensitive, innocently arrogant youth, was sold into Egyptian slavery. The bitterness of Joseph's experience, by God's grace, seasoned him with sweetness so that his arrogance deflated and he chose to forgive his brothers and trusted God that his God-given dreams would come true." God was crafting Joseph through his trials and that's what He's doing with us! He's preparing each of us to fulfill the special role He has for us. So, join me in reading Genesis 40 and be encouraged!
