“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. Mark 10:29-30
Aw Tozer writes about Mark 10:29,
"The sovereign God wants to be loved for Himself and honored for Himself, but that is only part of what He wants. The other part is that He wants us to know that when we have Him, we have everything—we have all the rest. Jesus made that plain when He said, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33)."
Do you know all that God wants for you? What you think and what I think pale in comparison to what God wants. He loves us passionatly and desires to bless us, but He wants to give us all of Him, not just the part we're praying for.
