Faith, it seems to be such a simple concept, live out your belief, yet it can be so hard! Faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains, so why do I struggle to just walk a straight path? Thankfully, the Bible encourages me and show me that I'm not alone! Even the disciples struggle with it in Mark 4:35-40. Jesus says, "Let us go over to the other side." He doesn't say let's get in a boat and sink and yet, the disciples still got scared when the waves came, woke Jesus up and needed a miracle to calm down, and they had just seen miracles! They were with Him 24/7!
Ultimately, faith is a daily exercise and grows the more we practice it. As we know God more fully and recognize His voice, our faith is not based on just thoughts, but actual experience. Thankfully, Jesus understands this because He was human too. So, don't be discouraged. Instead, let's pick up our tiny mustard seed faith and read Mark 4 and be encouraged by His word!
