Have you ever wondered why God allows there to be Hell? Does it seem mean or incongruous with a loving God? As we've read the scriptures for the last 10 months, we've discovered a God that loves us, doesn't give up on us and NEVER wants harm to befall us. At the same time, He allows us to choose our paths and usually, those choices have dire consequences. Despite our poor choices and open rebellion, He still wants us and loves us. It is seen no more clearly than when Jesus is arrested, tortured and killed for us! He could have stopped it with a single word. He'd healed and performed miracles the previous day. To think He couldn't stop man's activities is foolish. Instead, He submitted to it because it was the only way man could receive God's grace! Grace is something that cost the giver everything and the recipeint nothing! Our redemption and grace cost Jesus His life. Join me in reading this first half of Matthew 27 and be encouraged!
