In Proverbs 28, there are many ancient truths that stand the test of time. However, a few struck me as important to me and one, was especially impactful.
Blessed is the one who always trembles before God, but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble. Proverbs 28:14
This verse is so impactful to me because I have been that person with a hard heart so often in my life and as the proverb states, I've only experienced hardship as a result. My hard heart led to losing my family, wealth and integrity. I pray that I've learned my lesson and stay open to God's will.
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. Proverbs 28:13
This proverb is a perfect companion to the above. When I hardened my heart, I refused to confess my sins and the results were not good.
