The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, Proverbs 1:7
then you will understand the fear of the LORD
and find the knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:5
Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God 2 Corinthians 5:11
According to the Bible, the fear of the Lord is critical to our gaining wisdom and understanding. As I was reading Psalm 61, I had to ask myself, "What does this really mean?" I don't have the answer, but I'll spend the next few months trying to understand it. In the meanwhile, lets read Psalm 61 and be encouraged!
