Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers Psalms 1:1
For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction. Psalms 1:6
Kent Hughes writes in his Preaching the Word commentary, "The reason the godly flourish is because God is watching over them. When all is said and done, the real question in life is not whether I know God but whether he knows me."
As we've seen throughout our reading of the Bible, God wants to know us and fellowship with us! From Genesis to Revelation, we see His plan at work. Genesis was the beginning of the first part and Revelation provides a glimpse into part 2! Obviously, He knows all, but He watches over the ways of His people, those that love and live for Him, or in other words, the righteous.
