LORD my God, if I have done this and there is guilt on my hands — if I have repaid my ally with evil or without cause have robbed my foe— then let my enemy pursue and overtake me; let him trample my life to the ground and make me sleep in the dust. Psalms 7:3-5
Have you ever been accused of something you didn't do and it was causing you all sorts of pain and hurt? I have and so has David! In Psalms 7, Cush has made accusations against David and is trying to have him killed. Naturally, David turns to God for help and takes four steps when pleading to God. However, the first and most important step is not one of the four, it's that David already has a relationship with God. He knows God and God knows him.
