He said to me, “Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but ‘in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.’” I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour. Then I was told, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings.” Revelation 10:9-11
The Book of Revelation shows us what is in store for those that don't know God and/or keep rebelling against Him. While this "insider" knowledge may seem exciting like it did when John ate the "little scroll", but is it turning our stomach sour enough so we then tell people so they don't suffer? John was told to share with many peoples, nations and so on the news he's taken in. The question I have to ask myself is "Am I doing the same? Do I have enough compassion for others to tell them about Jesus so they too receive His seal?
