These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Revelation 3:1
I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. Revelation 3:8
that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. Revelation 3:15-16
When I read descriptions of people, or in this case churches, in the Bible, I ask myself, which am I? Often, I don't like the truth that returns. However, if I can look back at from where I started, I can see progress. Is it as much as I'd like, probably not. Does it please God, I think He's pleased with my heart and why I'm striving to move forward. I guess at the end of the day, I hold on to the final verses of chapter 3:
Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. Revelation 3:19-20
