To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever! Revelation 5:13
In chapter 5 and previous ones, we've read about the elders who fall on their faces and praise the Lord constantly. We read about the creatures of heaven flying and proclaiming God's majesty. It all leads me to wonder, why don't I? Why do I keep my hands in my pockets when at church worshipping? Why is my mind everywhere other than on God? Where is my enthusiasm and passion?
Aw Tozer addressed a similar topic in one of his writings:
Were some watcher or holy one from the bright world above to come among us for a time with the power to diagnose the spiritual ills of church people, there is one entry which I am quite sure would appear on the vast majority of his reports: Definite evidence of chronic spiritual lassitude; level of moral enthusiasm extremely low.
