Kelly Anne Bates was born May 18, 1978 to Tom and Margaret Bates. She was very mature for her age, and liked to hang around older people. She was strong, sporty, and always up for a challenge. She wanted to be a teacher when she grew up, and babysat around the neighborhood. This would all change when she meets James Patterson Smith.
