Description

Brian Haara is an attorney, a whiskey enthusiast and the author of "Bourbon Justice".  Brian's book tells the story of bourbon through the history of the legal system.  So much of what we know about pre-prohibition bourbon is based on court records from lawsuits.  It seems big-time distillers aren't a bit shy about arming themselves with lawyers (then or now).

We talk with Brian about some of the most notorious characters and distilleries in bourbon history on Side A of the show.  On Side B, Brian shares with us some of the music that he listened to in his youth and what he is enjoying today.  Then we start scratching the surface on some "music justice" and a few landmark legal battles in the music industry (Led Zeppelin, Napster, etc.).

The playlist this week is deep.  We share with you some of Brian's favorites and then give you the songs involved in copyright fights back to back ("Stairway to Heaven" vs. "Spirit" by Taurus, for example).  So, listen for yourself and make your own judgements!
