Before we aired the first episode of Bourbon Turntable and we were making our "wish list" of guests, one of the first names on that list was Nancy Fraley. In this two-part episode, we think you'll see why we wanted her on the show so badly.
In part one, we talk with Nancy about how she became "The Nose", because every superhero has an origin story, right? She also walks us through how she approaches tasting a whiskey for the first time. This whiskey happens to be William Dalton wheated bourbon from Spirits of French Lick. We happen to have Alan Bishop (head distiller at SOFL) on as a guest host. So, the interaction between Alan and Nancy while tasting his whiskey is quite fascinating to watch.
