She researches how Lutheran identity, liturgy and congregational life developed in the Netherlands in the early modern era, exploring the intersections of local Dutch-Lutheran practice and broader European Lutheran traditions. The conversation revolves around questions of personal choice, gender (in)equality and building a transnational academic career.
