For me the intersection of science and Yoga is really exciting. One area of great convergence is in the study of interoception. The internal sense of oneself is correlated with more compassion, better health and even better perception of time. This practice focuses on the experience of feeling both in a sensory way and emotionally. I'll coach you through Somatic education blended with long holds in gentle postures to offer you opportunities to experience sensations and the emotional feelings they engender. This is a very mindful practice that you may want to do before bed. A bolster or pillows, a blanket and maybe a block will be nice to have nearby.
