Pyaar karte raho
Keep Loving
Keep listening to all--
keep loving
and not say a word.
They may not speak,
not even open their lips,
nor sweeten their words
with love;
not to mention
the matters of heart.
Whatever is our obligation
may be repaid,
just as a debt is paid;
whatever you hear
keep listening to all,
keep loving
and not say a word.
If the lips open up
even thoughtlessly on their own
and the words speak up the truth--
all the bonds cherished
and all the dreams shared
shall get scattered--
don’t ever do that.
Listen to all
don’t ever get scattered--
all the matters
are writ in black and white
don’t ever smear the scene
with colours.
If the heart is filled with love,
if there is acceptance on lips
and if love, love alone
is the word expressed
and if the ego says
the hearts can’t ever meet--
don’t ever pay heed to that.
This ego is fake;
it has failed.
Listen to the heart alone
even from a distance
but keep loving
and not utter a word.
The way is only one
the intent too;
not only mine
but of the world entire
the way is one--
only one;
we indeed were one
and we arrived as one.
We arrived as one;
our journey too is one.
howsoever big the throng
we all are one;
at one’s own place
we all are one
though the names differ
but God is one.
Just like God
keep listening to all
keep loving
and not say a word.
Nothing changes with
sharing of words.
The night does not pass,
the day does not halt
whatever has to happen
one doesn’t know.
The time is short; it’s only a while,
in this short while
keep loving
as much as you may
and don’t say a word.
