Why is it that so many of us berate ourselves, judge ourselves, and punish ourselves, when really we should have our own backs? Why don't we talk to ourselves kindly in the same way we would a friend? 

Inspired by our Book Club book in my Thrive Solo membership, Self-Compassion by Kristin Neff, I talk about my own journey to self-compassion, including how I used to be (and still can be) extremely self-critical.

I also talk about the three components of self-compassion according to Kristin Neff, as well as some of the benefits of practicing it.
