Do you know the best ways to manage atrial fibrillation and stroke risk? Join me, Dr. Michael Koren, as I chat with my good friend and colleague Dr. Neil Sanghvi, Medical Director of Heart Rhythm Services at Flagler Hospital, and uncover the most effective techniques for dealing with this prevalent heart issue. Together, we'll explore the importance of understanding the triggers for irregular heart rhythms, the various monitoring devices used to detect these problems, and the wide range of treatment options available, ensuring that you stay informed and prepared.

Delving into the controversial topic of treating newly diagnosed atrial fibrillation patients, we emphasize the cruciality of undergoing a discovery phase to determine each individual's risk. Dr. Sanghvi shares his invaluable insights on making patients asymptomatic so they can perform, shedding light on different treatment options like transient blood thinners or ablation procedures. Moreover, we discuss the innovative Watchman device that's designed to seal off the left atrial appendage, examining the success rates and potential risks of this revolutionary intervention. Don't miss this engaging and highly informative discussion with Dr. Sanghvi!
