A new day dawns in Washington: After nearly a decade of gridlock, the Senate has put forth a bipartisan budget deal - and it increases spending on both the military and domestic needs by $300 billion over the next two years. We are guessing that it's harder for Republicans to scream about the deficit when they just ballooned it themselves with their tax bill, although this morning on NPR, the MOMocrats heard a GOP congressman try. As for the Dreamers: McConnell has promised an immigration debate in the Senate. Speaker Ryan has not - which is why Nancy Pelosi held the floor yesterday for eight hours (in heels!) to make the case. MOMocrats Karoli, Aliza Worthington, and Donna Schwartz Mills discuss that and other political news of the week, including the president's ridiculous order for a military parade down Pennsylvania Avenue in this week's political podcast from the progressive point of view. An Engender Media Group production.
