One day sooner than we all hope, those fuzzybutts will start turning gray and when they do, parents need to know how to care for their senior dogs. Today's guest on Fuzzybutts and Friends has spent decades teaching, writing, and caring for our elderly canine companions. Ginger and I enjoyed talking to Denise Fleck, owner of Sunny Dog Ink, author of 13 animal care books, and teacher of pet First Aid.
In addition to all of many things Denise does for our fuzzybutts, she is also a great advocate for Grey Muzzle. The number of senior dogs euthanized every year is staggering and heart breaking and it's Grey Muzzle's mission to change that. Through their countless programs and grants, they help shelters with dental hygiene and even at times, cancer care.
