Have you ever stopped to consider the difference between using judgment and being judgemental? I think it's a pretty important distinction. I think too often we are so worried about being seen as judgmental that we stop using judgment. Judgment is focused on you and asks questions such as, "What is good for me? What do I want to do when I look at all the options before me? What opinion do I want to have?" Whereas, being judgemental is focused on others and asking questions such as, "Why would they do that?" And making statements like, "They are doing that all wrong."
Listen to this episode to find out:
- why we judge and why we should keep doing it.
- why disagreeing with someone does not always mean you are judgmental.
- why we are afraid of being seen as judgmental.
- why it's so easy to be judgmental.
- and what to do if you find yourself being judgemental a lot.
