Cassie Shaddock is a determined 21 year old who runs her own photography business.
In Feb 2019, Cassie started a photography business which was initially meant to be for weddings and events. Within a week, we went into lockdown and everything was put to a halt. Cassie decided to do free product photography for brands in the meantime, who would send her products in exchange for content.
This lasted awhile, then she was able also start charging for her services. Cassie was studying full time, and working as an essential employee at a main supermarket chain doing full time hours.
2021 Cassie moved to Melbourne by herself, to complete her final year of study. Just within a month of moving, Cassie was robbed and lost everything for her business. as well as shoes, clothes, equipment, alcohol and more.
Cassie showed true resilience and overcame this during the following months, working casually to save for more equipment. The police and authorities were no help, no luck at pawn shops or online. So she had to start from scratch.
Fast forward another year, and Cassie's business is booming. Her work has been featured in Vogue, and she is back better than ever.
