One of the most amazing aspects - I think - of what I do on my leadership Podcast journey, is to be introduced to wonderful women leaders with a diverse leadership path.
Music teacher. Choir leader. Superintendent of Schools for Albany, capital city of New York, gaining her PhD, and now developing other leaders.
“You’ve got to talk to Dr V.” I was told.
I soon found out that this was Marguerite Vanden Wyngaard.
In a word, her story is ‘impressive’. Just as her name is.
We say all women are leaders And yet some might say “But she’s a music teacher. How can she be a leader ?”
Of course, being a music teacher, still involves leadership.
In Marguerite’s case, she took leadership to another level and she completed her PhD along the way.
She continues making significant difference as a leader and is helping others to become leaders while also focussing on diversity and inclusion.
