Meet Camila Lenhart
Camila is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who started learning music at two years old through the classical violin Suzuki method. She played amongst some of the best symphonic orchestras in Brazil.
Camila moved to Aotearoa 14 years ago, where she explored different styles of music, from jazz to folk, rock, funk, reggae and Latin. Today Camila has developed a new music method according to her own experience. A mix of classical and contemporary fresh style methods - focusing on ear pitch, music construction & theory while still letting creativity speak, helping people develop their unique style and confidence.
Camila lives in the Bay of Plenty, where she teaches a children's choir. She has been opening and sharing the stage for House of Shem, Katchafire, Xavier Rudd, Tikki Tane, and Thievery Corporation, among other mighty names.
Camila comes to the Altbays Show to chat about her music journey, starting a new life overseas, and the project to turn her home bus into a studio and a food truck!
