Welcome to the Altbays Show (Feat. Maddie Johnson and Leo Magri)
Kaylie spent her childhood summers on lakes in Ontario, Canada, but in her early 30's discovered an unwavering love for the ocean.
Motivated by a desire to pursue an ocean lifestyle and embrace her passion for surfing, she left behind the corporate world in the Colorado Rockies and embarked on a life-altering move to Kauai, Hawaii. Founding a technology consulting business provided her with the freedom to travel, surf, and work across the globe.
Eventually finding solace in the creative community of Tairua, she has set up an artist's sanctuary comprising of an art studio, gallery and tiny food forest. She has published a colouring book, accountability journal, and is currently working on a photography-based book, inspired by sunrise jogs to the beach and some unfortunate found objects. Kaylie's art embodies her soul's connection to nature and water.
She hopes that her art and photography can inspire viewers to slow down and see their surroundings from a different perspective.
