Meet Neo Lee
Neo was awarded Best Drummer in the national final of the New Zealand Battle of the Bands in 2020, playing with one of his musical projects 'The Minnehahas'.
In the same year, another successful band he’s part of, 'White Noise Mafia' took out the classic Ding Dong Lounge Battle of the Bands in Auckland, NZ. They got to record with the legendary rock music producer Dave Rhodes.
Neo started his life in Whitianga, where his father was playing gigs every weekend across the peninsula. His family moved to Auckland when he was seven, a big change for young Neo who had just gotten used to life at the beach.
Once in Auckland, he began teaching drums at the age of 10 and started playing shows with bands at 12. He competed in the school’s national competition Smoke Free Rockquest which solidified his will to play in a band.
Since then he’s played in four different bands varying four genres. He is now back in Whitianga for a couple years of fishing, working and rural living.
