Meet Roger Harwood
Roger is the son of a carpenter, and he has worked with many kinds of wood for over 35 years. He is the owner of Corowood and believes the properties of New Zealand Kauri, the smell, strength, beauty and durability, help to create excellent quality wooden products.
All of the Kauri wood used in Corowood products is harvested from remnants of trees cut down more than 100 years ago, recovered beside rivers in the bush or on beaches. The anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties in the gum preserve the wood for long periods and make it ideal for preparing and serving food.
Roger also owns an orchard and is an expert in biodiversity and organics. He’s sailed around the world and is passionate about the arts.
