Meet Ron Morgan
Ron Morgan is a former teacher at Mercury Bay Area
School, who is highly involved in the local community and passionate about the outdoors. Ron impacted the lives of many locals with his unique teaching style, praising the well-being of his students.
Ross experienced teaching on Great Barrier Island, had his time in the military, where he played rugby as captain of the National Service team and has incredible stories about fishing and hunting.
Among many incredible life stories, Ron travelled to Canada a few times, where he played ice hockey, went ice fishing, and drove across the country to the East Coast.
Ron comes to our show to share stories about his fulfilling and exciting teaching career, where he made a concerted effort to make learning fun and enjoyable for his students and brought a range of initiatives to the schools he taught at.
