Meet Stella Pennell, PhD Sociologist/NZ Karate Champion
One day, Stella told her daughter the importance of going to university, the reply was 'Why don't you go?' Those words were a turning point in her life. She started studying psychology after years of competing and coaching karate. This led her to a Master's degree and PhD in Sociology.
Stella shares her views on life in the Coromandel and how we can empower people to work towards creating a more equal community.
