Terri grew up in Auckland and her three science degrees and one business degree allowed her to spend many years travelling the world, developing, marketing and selling chemical and pharmaceutical raw materials, and specialty ingredients.
Terri is now retired. She worked in various local industries whose business practices wouldn't survive in larger centres.
As part of the Rainbow community for more than 45 years, Terri marched in Gay Liberation protests in London and in Auckland, fought for the decriminalisation of male homosexuality in the mid-1980s and was on the gay garden committee which raised money for HIV hospice and patients through the Heroic Gardens.
Terri is currently on a committee that, in July this year, set up LGB Alliance Aotearoa New Zealand. This is part of an international group standing up for LGB people as they claim that their voices are not being heard.
