Sometimes if you have a good idea, you just need to run with it and others will join you in support. This is what happened earlier this year for Rebecca Howard, whose desire to improve the environment by planting trees in her local community won the backing of Twyford Parish Council and quickly gained momentum with local residents and businesses. Within a few weeks her crowdfunding campaign attracted sufficient supporters to make The Big Twyford Tree Planting Project a reality.We catch up with Rebecca at Stanlake Meadow, where over 60 trees are due to be planted on Saturday 6 December – delayed by one week from the original date due to the November coronavirus lockdown. Many trees will bear a dedication plaque naming their donor. RG10 is delighted to be supplying a Hornbeam. An artist living in Twyford, Rebecca tells us about the origins of the idea and her hopes for the future.
