Welcome to the "Faith/Life" podcast, where we explore the intersection of faith and everyday life. In this episode, our hosts Pastor Matt and Pastor Nathan delve into the myths and misconceptions surrounding Easter. Contrary to popular belief, Easter is not a pagan moon or spring festival that Christians took over. The date of Easter is actually tied to the timing of Passover, and the hosts note that the association of two events does not necessarily mean one caused the other.

The hosts also discuss the origins of the word "Easter," which may come from the Saxon language or Proto-Germanic language. The tradition of decorating eggs during Easter is often associated with the symbol of fertility, but there is no evidence that it started with paganism. The use of eggs during Easter has also been used in the traditional Passover seder meal.

While the origins of some Easter traditions, such as the Easter Bunny and eggs, remain unclear, what is important is what is being celebrated - the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The hosts debunk the theory that the Easter Bunny comes has pagan roots related to the goddess of fertility.

Join us as we explore the true meaning behind Easter and why it is an important celebration for Christians. Don't miss this informative episode of the "Faith/Life" podcast!
