Ep 15 - Aries Season: Basic Instincts & Individuation | Welcome Aries Season! This is the first episode of the astrological new year. During the first part of the show Cory introduces us to the first sign of the zodiac, Aries and its ruling planet Mars. Aries is fresh, new, initiating energy concerned with the “I am.” We are reminded that the Aries in our natal chart is where we must individuate from the group and act on our own personal desires.
The astrology of this week includes a square between Mars & Uranus. Mars, the warrior planet, is still transiting through the forward thinking, air sign of Aquarius while Uranus is moving through the fixed earth sign of Taurus. This week, we also have Mercury meeting up with Neptune and Jupiter in the mutable water sign, Pisces. Since this is the start of a new astrological year, this is a great time to check in on intentions set at the start of the new calendar year.
During the second half of the show Cory speaks with her “astrological twin” (fellow Aries Sun & Scorpio Moon) Elena Valdez, tarot practitioner and astrologer. Together Cory and Elena discuss Aries, Scorpio, Mars, and the volatility of the moment. Elena shares a little about her professional astrology and tarot practice, which is aimed at helping parents and family members honor the children in their lives.
