Description

If you've ever been working towards something but derail yourself because you can't get it PERFECT, you're not alone. Today's episode is about what happens when we try to make changes in our life, but don't get it perfect, and what we can do instead!

When we initially decide we're going to eat intentionally, exercise more, give up the weekday wine, meditate more, etc, we are fired up about our plan! It's the greatest idea!

But then we have to actually DO the things, and it gradually becomes less fantastic and we become less excited and slowly we forget entirely why we thought it was a good idea in the first place. Sound familiar yet?

So then we falter. We fail at perfection… and we make that mean something important.

Most of us make it mean WE HAVE FAILED, so WE must be a failure, and then we slip into a well of self judgment, self criticism and self loathing.

This process is a well worn path for many of my perfectionist clients, and non-perfectionists as well, but the belief that change should come easily and without failures get's us into more trouble than anything else!

So today I share a practice for you to try out so you don't derail yourself, and so you don't slip into the deep well of self judgement... because nothing good comes out of that swamp.

Trust me, I've already looked.
