We explore the meaning of being a veteran and share our personal experiences serving in the US military. We discuss the official definition of a veteran as someone who has served in the armed forces, and share our thoughts on how this label is often misused. We also address the issue of individuals taking advantage of their veteran status for personal gain, and the negative impact this has on the veteran community. Through sharing our insights and opinions, we aim to shed light on the complexities of being a veteran and the challenges that come with it.
