This week I sat down with my lovely neighbor to chat about her upbringing as a South Asian-American woman. Born outside the U.S. but having lived here since a small child, she battled the pull between the two words - the home country and her new home of America. Both having very different societal expectations from a young age of her career trajectory and love life.
