This week, our top 3 issues are these: 1) we discuss the serious problems created by the fact that, unlike in other states, there’s literally no one in the Alaska Legislature (or administration, for that matter) focused on ensuring that, whatever the agreed level is, state spending is being paid for in the way that best serves Alaskan families and the economy (2:13); 2) we explain why, while it is good to hear Governor Dunleavy weigh in on an issue forcefully, he’s threatening a veto over the wrong thing (18:10); and 3) we explain why the legislature should stop chasing squirrels and let the market get on with deciding Cook Inlet gas (37:05 ).
