Welcome to The Weekly Top 3 — our look at the top 3 things on our mind here at Alaskans for Sustainable Budgets — for the week of March 6, 2023.
This week our top 3 issues are these: 1) we back into how much some are proposing to spend overall this coming fiscal year as the proposed spending increases and new programs start to pile up (2:08), 2) we put a proposed new constitutional amendment from Rep. Cliff Groh in context and puzzle over why two in the House majority have signed on as co-sponsors to it instead of supporting two other, Ways & Means Committee bills (18:24), and 3) we discuss the importance of the upcoming Willow decision, but emphasize again why it's not a cure for Alaska’s fiscal situation (31:38).
