Trish Mcgirr has been involved in property for many years. She has built several portfolios over the years, had her own lettings agency, helped countless clients via coaching and training, but most of all she does business with a very strong set of values and ethics.
Currently she is building a movement. A cohort of property investors who will challenge the establishment to re-think their own values when it comes to how they treat people in financial distress. Often, those in mortgage arrears then get put onto a punitive interest rate by the bank which only compounds the problem and ends in repossession. Trish has launched Repossession Rescue with a view to getting better outcomes for all concerned.
In this, the first of two parts of our interview, we explore Trish's humble beginnings in property. We take a lighthearted walk down memory lane, meeting Uncle Valentine and his desire to emulate Englebert Humperdinck! We then discover how Trish came to learn about (and implement) an option strategy which would then form the future backbone of her investing career.
