Description

Message based on Malachi 3:13-4:4.

As we journey through life, we are reminded to choose wisely the groups we associate with.  Choosing the right group will determine our direction and destiny. Pastor Duane compares this pivotal moment of decision to Joshua choosing whom to serve and the powerful challenge Elijah presented to the Israelites. But it doesn't end there. Christianity is a daily choice between following God or the world. He encourages us to seek out and connect with those who fear the Lord and honor His name, whether it be through connect groups within our churches or other faith-filled communities.

Quotes:
Don Morgan: "What's the use of being a Christian in a world like this?" To which Don replied, "I ask you: What's the use of being a Christian in any other sort of world?"

Duane Brooks: God is not our concierge.

Virtus Gideon:  In every church there is a person who stands in the council of the Lord.  Knit your soul to that person.

R. G. Lee:  there will be a payday someday.

Calvin Miller:  God, can you be merciful and send me off to hell and lock me in forever?  No, Pilgrim, I will not send you there, but if you chose to go there, I could never lock you out.

G Campbell Morgan:  Can we pray:  “come Lord Jesus . . .” in response to his announcement:  “Behold I come quickly” can we say, “Come Lord Jesus.”  “There is no test concerning holiness of life and character equal to that.”

John Wesley:  Give me a hundred men who love God with all their hearts and fear nothing but sin and I will move the world.
