Description

What do Christians do after Easter? Augustine said, “We are an Easter people and Alleluia is our song.” Early in Christian history Easter became a season of seven weeks called Eastertide. Luke tells us the early believers devoted themselves to the apostles teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Hebrews urges us not to neglect the assembling of ourselves together. What can we learn from the history of Christian worship? What can

we anticipate about the future of our worship? In ancient and future worship, we notice one constant. Worship is about Christ. As the One at the center of the throne in Heaven (Revelation 5), Jesus, alone, is the center of our corporate worship. What do we do after Easter? We worship.
