Today I'm joined by Nicole Davis aka owner of Pole Trix and golden retriever dog mom.
Nicole has been brave, bold and kind enough to share her personal journey to sobriety with us today. Together it's our hope that we can shed light on how to help someone, how to support someone and what to do when helping someone that's possibly struggling with addiction.
We discus the struggles that she was faced with like running a business, losing excessive amounts of weight, isolation and losing 2 dogs while trying to recover.
Although this is a very personal and vulnerable conversation, we do have moments of light and laughter and we try to keep this as relatable as possible as addiction affects most of us on some level.
Before this conversation today I would have never guessed that there was a community of other golden retriever moms with addiction problems so Nicole thank you for letting us know that there is a community for you one that will make sense, one that will be similar to you and your story and one that you will fit in with.
A big message in today's conversation is finding the community that is right for you and I am thankful for Nicole sharing her story, her knowledge and her perspective on what that process looks like.
Thank you for being here.
