Detoxes can be a great way to give your body a break and reset your system. They can also be a great way to jump-start healthy habits. I like to do a detox every August to help me get back on track after the summer. This year, I decided to do a shorter "nourishing" detox that would be easier to stick with. I'm happy to report that it was successful! I felt more energetic and clearheaded after only a few days.
If you're thinking of doing a detox, I encourage you to give it a try. Start with something small, like cutting out sugar or caffeine for a few days. See how you feel and go from there. Detoxes can be a great way to nourish your body and mind. I want to remind you that this is my journey and your journey is totally different. And I want you to take what resonates and leave what doesn't.
