In today's episode of "Help Me, Rhonda!," clinical psychologist Dr. Rhonda Karg teaches the core mindfulness and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skill of a gratitude meditation. This skill will train your brain into finding more joy in your life if you practice it for 5 minutes a day. This is a great way to start out your day: From a place of gratitude. It will shape how the rest of your day turns out because you will have an attitude of gratitude. This skill can be used to help improve your mood, regulate your big emotions, cope with stressful situations, and live a more rich, full life by being right here, right now. She describes the benefits of being present to help reduce symptoms for a wide variety of mental conditions, including anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and substance abuse by boosting your serotonin and preventing you from being out in the future (anxiety) or back in the past (depression) because you are right here, right now, in the present moment.
