One of the worst cases we've covered. Andrei Chikatilo could never really get an erection so he took it out on women and children. From 1978 to 1990 he killed (confirmed) at least 52 women and children, often mutilating and cannibalizing their bodies. Communist ideas of moral superiority made the police refuse to believe they were dealing with a serial killer which let him get away with his heinous crimes far longer than she should have been able to.
