When we read the Scriptures, we see money mentioned throughout the books of the Bible.  In many places, exact amounts describe the transaction or accounting that takes place.  Jesus talked about money and even told the parable of three people given different amounts of money to test their faithfulness and stewardship.

Like many topics in the Word, the enemy has sought to twist and deceive many from the truth.  Money is no different.  Generations of believers have been taught traditions and fables disguised as the truth of the Word concerning money.

At work, as it concerns data and where the data comes from, we call them the “source of truth”.  This data point should only come from this source of truth because that is the most trusted original version of the data point.  All other sources read from or refer to that source and are considered copies.  In this series, we will be use a single source of truth for our text, the Word of God, as we dive into the subject of finances.

The enemy hates God, hates God’s people and doesn’t want God’s kingdom to grow.  What better way to stop growth than to cut off resources.  He has been very successful in deceiving children of God to think very wrong about money.
