To describe God as generous would be an understatement. Look at the stars, look at the microscopic. There is so much in creation that we’ll never know on this side of heaven because God’s greatness, his generosity, is on display throughout creation. We have been created in God’s image and have the Spirit of God, his generous Spirit, inside us. By design and by command, we are designed to be generous just like our heavenly Father.
Being generous means having more than enough to give. When God blesses us, it is meant to share, not hoard. In fact in the parable of the talents, Jesus said the one who kept the money and did nothing with it was the unfaithful and wicked servant.
